Calibration of eXacal thermometers
eXacal thermometers are calibrated in our own DAkkS-accredited calibration laboratory. This independent laboratory specializes in temperature measurement. DAkkS accreditation ensures that all calibrations are traceable to national and international standards. Our calibration service specializes in calibrating temperature standards and uses state-of-the-art temperature fixed points and calibration equipment
The eXacal precision thermometers are calibrated at ITS-90 temperature fixed points from the argon triple point to the silver freezing point with excellent measurement uncertainty. Alternatively, eXacal thermometers can also be calibrated using the comparison method. The measurement uncertainty is calculated from multiple components, with the largest contributions coming from reproducibility, ITS-90 characteristics, self-heating, and hysteresis in resistance thermometers.
